The Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens announced roster cuts from the 75 they started off with in the beginning of the week.

Players include running back Delone Carter, quarterback Caleb Hanie, quarterback Dayne Crist, linebacker Brandon Copeland, offensive tackle Jordan Devey, offensive tackle Rogers Gaines and guard/center Reggie Stephens.

Carter seemed to have a shot when it came to making the roster after the Ravens waived Anthony Allen but now it appears they will decide to roll with Bobby Rainey behind Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce. Carter was acquired by the Ravens just nine days ago from the Indianapolis Colts.

He failed to impress his the coaching staff during Thursday nights pre-season finale against the St. Louis Rams, recording just one rushing yard on eight attempts.

Caleb Hanie hasn’t appeared in a regular season game since the 2011 season after Jay Cutler was sidelined with a concussion with the Chicago Bears. Hanie was impressive in the NFC Championship game when the Bears played the Green Bay Packers in Chicago.

But it looks like he will fall short of a roster spot this season.
