The Miami Dolphins defensive end Dion Jordan has been out with a shoulder injury. They are hoping that Dion Jordan can play in the season opener. Jordan was less wishful and more confident.

“If they need me to play, then I will be out there. I can play,” Dion Jordan told reporters.

Jordan is trying to be patient but is eager to get back onto the field.

“This is really testing my patience,” Jordan said, via The Palm Beach Post. “But I’m going to make sure I’m ready to go when I step out on the field. When you’re injured, man, it’s a hill to climb. I’m climbing that hill.”

Earlier in the week Miami head coach Joe Philbin said “you’re going to see a lot” of Jordan “in the next couple of weeks.” That certainly hints at Jordan being available for the season opener.

The Cleveland Browns could have their hands full with Cameron Wake and Dion Jordan pass rushing. Jordan might be used in certain situations rather than starting him and playing him consistently through out the game. A happy medium of protecting him and playing him.
