The Toledo Rockets will be major underdogs when they take on the Florida Gators in Gainesville on Saturday (23.5 point underdogs to be exact). One person not short on confidence, though, is Toledo wide receiver Bernard Reedy. Reedy, who was a first-team All-MAC selection in 2012 as both a receiver and a punt returner, said in an interview recently that he thinks his team can wear down the favored Gators in the fourth quarter:
Since I’ve been watching film on them, I’ve seen that late in the game … they still don’t go as hard as they do in the first and second quarters. So I feel like if we can just keep pressure on them the whole game, we could eventually wear them down (WNWO, via CBS Sports).
Hopefully Reedy’s assessment will prove true on Saturday. Seeing an SEC team fall to a MAC opponent would bring me the greatest of joy, though I wouldn’t exactly bet money on the Rockets pulling off the upset. It’s supposed to be unbelievably hot in Gainesville for the game, though, so I guess there’s a decent chance some of the Gators may end up dog-tired.
