Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp has been out of action for one of the hottest teams in baseball since July 21st with a left ankle injury.

"“It’s been tough being out, but fun to watch the guys. These last two or three months have been great for the team. And its great that I’m coming back.” He told the Los Angeles Times the other day."

Kemp has actually seen a couple of injuries this season that has kept him out of action, no matter how many games he has missed. The MVP runner up to Ryan Braun back in 2011, has been the face of the franchise along with Clayton Kershaw before Adrian Gonzalez and Hanley Ramirez were acquired.

The 28 year old Dodger slugger played seven innings in center field in his second rehab game for High-A Rancho Cucamonga yesterday.

Kemp made a running catch but went 0 for 3 with two strike outs. He’s scheduled to make his third rehab game today.

He served as a designated hitter in his first rehab game for the High-A club and grounded out on a 1-0 pitch.

If all goes well during today’s rehab game, he should be back with the team tomorrow when the rosters expand.

Los Angeles Dodgers fans should get excited, you fans have a baseball team who could possibly take it all this season. Your chances are even better with a healthy Matt Kemp.
