Turn out the lights, Tebowmania is over…

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Saturday morning that the New England Patriots have released back up quarterback Tim Tebow, in a move that we all saw coming.

There was never a belief that Tebow was an option for the team’s 53-man roster, but now it is official that he is once again looking for a job.

With his most recent release, Tebow will likely see his chances in the NFL come to an end.

There was very little interest in the former Heisman Trophy winner when he was released from the New York Jets, but the Patriots gave him that final opportunity to show what he has. Unfortunately for Tebow, that was more inaccurate passes and interceptions throughout the preseason as he looked more incapable as ever.

While it has been fun poking at Tebow and mocking his attempt at being a starting quarterback in the league, it looks like the jokes will have to end — unless he finally returns home to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
