The Houston Rockets hired former great Hakeem Olajuwon to work with the team this Summer, but he apparently snuck a few sessions in with Rudy Gay, who’s of course a member of the Toronto Raptors.

Gay, who had been having steadily declining vision problems the past few seasons underwent surgery to correct the issue and reportedly has been shooting much better from the perimeter.

In an effort to improve his offense inside and out, Gay called Olajuwon and asked for help with his post game, to which the big man obliged.

Per SportsNet.ca:

The Toronto Raptors forward had laser eye surgery earlier this summer to help improve his declining shooting numbers and now he’s putting in the time to develop his post game in Houston.

Gay posted an Instagram video of a workout with Houston Rockets legend, and former Toronto Raptors centre, Hakeem Olajuwon.

Throughout his NBA career, Gay has been criticized for settling for jump shots and not using his size (Gay is 6-foot-9) to his full advantage. So this workout with Olajuwon is a very logical move for the Raptors’ go-to scorer.
