LaMarcus Aldridge was frustrated with the team last season. So, the Blazers went and got better. Now, Aldridge is satisfied. But, he does want to win. Most players want to win. He wanted to part of rebuilding. With a core of Aldridge, Damian Lillard, and Nicolas Batum, the Blazers are set to re enter the playoff race. It’s been a healing process from Brandon Roy and Greg Oden, but, the Blazers are on track to be a very good team in the next couple of years.

But we gotta take it one season at a time. And for this season, the Blazers will be looking at a spot in the playoffs. It won’t be easy but they can get it done. A big part is the supporting cast. It’s a lot better than last year’s group. Guys like Dorell Wright, Mo Williams, and Robin Lopez should be key players for the Blazers. Lillard will need a breakout year himself.

The makeup of the team is fantastic on paper. We’ll have to hope that they can fit with each other. Lakers know all about looking good on paper and failing. Yeah, if things go well, they’ll be fighting for a spot on top of the West in another two seasons. They better hope so, since Aldridge’s contract expires in two years. And, the new star player trend is “get better, or I’m taking my talents to _____”. Aldrige is a top PF in the league so I guess he’s got some leverage to get another star to join him in Portland or somewhere else.
