Virginia Tech assistant coach is more excited than his players after touchdown (GIF)

Virginia Teach running back Trey Edmunds went straight up video game against Alabama yesterday, repeatedly smashing his turbo boost button en route to a 76 yard touchdown run right through the heart of Alabama’s defense.

It would be the only touchdown scored by VT as they were routed by the top overall team in the nation, but an assistant coach didn’t give two craps about it (at least not at the moment) as he went nuts on Edmunds and members of the offensive line as they came back to the sideline to celebrate.

Clearly ramped up by a few too many Redbull’s, the coach rushed onto the field to meet Edmunds and promptly gave what might be one of the most awkward body smashes in the history of body smashes.

After he crashed into Edmunds, his leg looked to get hung up on something (maybe Edmunds’ belt or just caught between players) which lead to the assistant coach hopping around as if he just stepped on hot coals for too long.

His excitement didn’t stop though as long after Edmunds had greeted fellow teammates, the assistant coach was still hopping around like a one-legged pirate, giving ass smacks to anybody in the vicinity.
