On Saturday NFL teams had to trim their rosters down to 53-men as we change gears from preseason to regular season. Unfortunately that means the end of a lot of talented players dreams at making an NFL roster. Some will get opportunities on practice squads, some will see that chapter of their life come to an end, at least until possibly next season.

Some players are released, some are waived and some players that they want to hold onto but are injured have other options. There is the physically unable to perform list as well as injured reserve.

Here are two master lists: NFC final roster cuts and AFC final roster cuts.

Cincinnati Bengals:

  • tackle Dennis Roland
  • running back Daniel Herron
  • fullback John Conner
  • receiver Cobi Hamilton
  • linebacker J.K. Schaffer
  • quarterback John Skelton
  • long snapper Bryce Davis
  • safety Tony Dye, tackle Reid Fragel
  • center T.J. Johnson
  • cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris
  • cornerback Onterio McCalebb
  • defensive end Dontay Moch
  • cornerback Shaun Prater
  • wide receiver Taveon Rogers
  • wide receiver Roy Roundtree
  • defensive tackle Terrence Stephens
  • guard John Sullen
  • linebacker Bruce Taylor

They also placed linebacker Emmanuel Lamur on injured reserve, and running back Bernard Scott on reserve/PUP.
