Cleveland Cavaliers center Andrew Bynum working out 'every day'

Hoping to hit a bit of a lottery ticket, the Cleveland Cavaliers signed big man Andrew Bynum to a strangely configured two-year deal earlier this offseason, though, only one year is actually guaranteed.

Either way, they’re hoping to strike gold with the one time promising center.

Bynum’s talent has never been questioned, however, his work ethic has – but he’s doing everything to squash those fears, at least for now as he reportedly has been working out on a near daily basis according to Cleveland.com:

Bynum has been working out here nearly every day since he signed. I seriously doubt he planned to sit out last season since he was a free agent this summer and cost himself a lot of money by being unable to play last season. I think it was an unfortunate set of circumstances that kept him off the court. I also think that is the reason he has been working so hard to try and regain his form.

A healthy and motivated Bynum would be a steal for the Cavaliers, so maybe they’ll catch lightning in a bottle? It’s a relatively low risk with the potential for a high reward and it appears Bynum is following through on his promises so far.

Soon we will see if a low risk high reward type signing will finally work out for my beloved cavs. So many times we have been unsuccessful and for us it’s pretty much the ONLY way to compete with great weather, nightlife, and beautiful women which is what most athletes seem to care about EVEN during the season. These guys can afford to travel into outerspace and have the nerve to not want to live where it’s boring. Must be nice.
