The New York Giants waived linebacker Kyle Bosworth, nephew of the former Oklahoma great Brian “the Boz” Bosworth. His home team Dallas Cowboys claimed him off of waivers bringing him home. Kyle Bosworth graduated from Plano West, a suburb north of Dallas.

“It’s never felt better to be going home,” Kyle Bosworth tweeted Sunday afternoon. “Can’t wait to play for the ‘Boys. Childhood dreams do come true.”

He fills the roster spot left vacant by the Cowboys trade of defensive lineman Sean Lissemore to the San Diego Chargers. Bosworth played his first two seasons in the NFL for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has started 5 NFL games and has 37 tackles and one interception.
