We all love the NFL and the fact that the season is returning this week has everyone excited about the 2013-14 NFL season. Even Major League Baseball players are ready for the start of the new NFL season and they will show off their fandom by wearing NFL jerseys on a themed road trip this week.

Players can wear any jersey that they choose, but many will be wearing the local Houston Texans jerseys as their team gears up for a hopeful Super Bowl run.

However, thanks to the wide rooting interest, there will be many teams and players represented by the Astros players.

“I think you’ll see guys wearing the jersey of their favorite team, or favorite player,” Porter said, via MLB.com. “A lot of guys may wear jerseys of guys that played at their college that are now playing in the NFL. Maybe a combination of different things.”

The jerseys will be worn on September 4 as the team travels to Oakland. It will be a pretty cool sight to see.
