Since being cut by the New England Patriots and clearing waivers on Sunday, quarterback Tim Tebow is out of an NFL job. But quarterback “guru” Steve Clarkson has some advice for Tebow; Head North young one.
“It’s time now to maybe just reconsider a different path to his ultimate dream. Tim might want to look to the CFL because he may have run out of options in the NFL.” ~ Steve Clarkson
The former first-round pick and former Heisman Trophy winner is quickly running out of options in the NFL and heading to the CFL may just be his best bet. With the NFL regular season right around the corner not many teams are looking for quarterbacks, especially one’s who haven’t figured out their throwing mechanics as of yet.
The Montreal Alouettes own Tim Tebow’s CFL rights should he decide to head North and with Anthony Calvillo on the shelf and growing older everyday, the Alouettes could really use Tebow’s services.
Sure Tebow wants to stick around in the NFL, but the chances for that are slim right now. At least if he heads to the CFL he’ll get competitive reps in under centre and will be able to work on his game.
“Sitting is not an option for Tim. He’s ultra-competitive. He needs to stick to his strength, which is being in a competitive environment.” ~ Clarkson
Could Tebow make a career in the CFL?
