Driving at 170mph (if not faster) can result in tempers flaring. That sentiment held true Sunday evening as storied Nascar driver Jeff Gordon became enraged at fellow wheelman Carl Edwards during the AdvoCare 500 in Atlanta.
Both Edwards and Gordon bumped tires a few times, leading to Jeff being less than thrilled with Edwards, referring to him as a ‘dumbf**k’ on his radio.
I believe it actually went something like this:
“Ask the f***ing 99 what his problem is. Somebody needs to explain to that dumbf**k who the f*** does he think he is? That s**t pisses me off right there,”
Of course, it was Gordon who first bumped Edwards earlier in the race, so getting mad at Edwards for doing the same thing seems a bit, I don’t know, hypocritical?
It all worked out though as Gordon, his ever pleasant self, decided to meet up with Subway’s favorite racer post race where the two apparently hashed out their differences.
Thankfully, nobody was slapped by an angry girlfriend/wife, unlike poor Max Papis.
Maybe we can add that into the script next weekend, eh?
