Kansas State players upset after loss to FCS North Dakota State

Hey guys, it’s okay; at least you all have that awesome Bill Snyder statue to enjoy!

The Kansas State Wildcats opened their 2013 season with an embarrassing loss to the North Dakota State Bison last Friday. The Bison, an FCS school, pulled off the 24-21 upset on the road in Bill Snyder Family Stadium. It’s safe to say that KSU players weren’t exactly thrilled afterwards.

Especially angry was center B.J. Finney, who had this to say:

I’m pretty upset. I’m pretty angry with it, because I made mistakes I shouldn’t have. I should have played better and it kind of went through the unit. I have to hold myself to a higher standard. I am going to hold everyone in that unit to a higher standard. We have got to execute and we have got to be better (The Kansas City Star).

Finney is right to be angry at himself. The Wildcats gained just 41 yards rushing on 23 carriers in the game, a far cry from the running attack they boasted in 2012.
