If you’re a hardcore NCAA basketball fan, you might remember Pete Mickeal who played for the Cincinnati Bearcats from 1998 to 2000.
Since then, Mickeal has traveled around the globe playing in just about any form of professional basketball one can find.
He’s yet to play in an official NBA game, though, that might change if either the Los Angeles Lakers or Philadelphia 76ers follow through on their interest.
According to Hoopshype, both teams are looking to sign the 35-year-old gunner as both need to fill out their roster.
Lakers and Sixers are among a bunch of NBA teams interested in free agent forward Pete Mickeal, agent Happy Walters tells HoopsHype.
It’s a bit of a movie script scenario for Mickeal who has played for 10 teams since 2000, where he was drafted by the New York Knicks in the second round (58th overall).
Of course, it’s extremely doubtful Mickeal gets much run with any team, assuming he does sign but for somebody who has traveled from country to country for over a decade to play the game he loves, it would certainly be the perfect way to cap his career.
