Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris criticizes Tajh Boyd after win

Tajh Boyd played an excellent game on Saturday as he lead his Clemson Tigers to an upset win over the Georgia Bulldogs. However, one person not pleased with the game is Chad Morris, the offensive coordinator for the Tigers. According to Morris, Boyd slowed the Clemson offense down to unacceptable levels, causing the team to only run 76 plays when the expectation was the offense would be near 90.

Hey, I guess you gotta find something for Boyd to improve on for next week.

Said Morris:

We can play faster. Tajh slowed us down a whole bunch. That was some of our biggest downfalls. He played well, he played like a veteran, like he’s supposed to play. But as far as the tempo, especially in the third and fourth quarter, he was the one slowing us down because he wasn’t getting his eyes to the sidelines quick enough (Associated Press via ESPN).

The offense will definitely be moving faster this upcoming Saturday. The Tigers, now ranked 4th in the nation, are taking on FCS opponent South Carolina State.
