Golden State Warriors' David Lee has “no ill effects” from hip surgery

Golden State Warrior’s forward David Lee told Bay Area News Group reporter Marcus Thompson that he has “no ill effects” from his hip surgery he had back in late May.

“I’ve had very little if no pain coming back from it,” “Everything’s perfect now, and no worse for the wear.”

Lee also claims he’s dropped five percent body fat, which he says is about eight pounds. He says he’s in the best shape of his life.

The eight year veteran injured his hip in the first game of the Warrior’s playoff run against Denver on April 20th. He returned sparingly over the course of the playoffs for Golden State, who lost in the second round  to San Antonio.

Lee is the Warriors’ best interior scorer and averaged 18.5 points and 11.2 rebounds on 51.2 percent shooting for Golden State last season.
