Despite being inked to a long-term deal with Manchester City that just begun in 2011, it appears that midfielder Samir Nasri has already thought about plans for his future, after his time with the Blues is up.
According to Fox Soccer, Nasri would like to experience life in America and MLS before ending his career.
“In the future, I don’t know yet. I would like to discover the MLS. I love American culture.”
As of right now, Nasri is a vital part of Manchester City’s success now and in the future. The creative midfielder has shown flashes of greatness, but was criticized for his inconsistency a season ago. With the English Premier League season now underway, his club and new manager, Manuel Pelligrini, hope that he is able to bounce back from his 2012-2013 campaign and demonstrate the high quality of play that he was able to previously.
Pelligrini has already made it clear that he is counting on Nasri to elevate his level of play from a year ago and expects the 26-year old midfielder to be a crucial part to his side’s success.
“He came to me the first day and told me that he was counting on me, that I would be an important player, that I was going to play.”
Nasri will undoubtedly be overseas for the near future, but MLS would welcome the talented French-native with open arms.
