UFC star Miesha Tate talked to TMZ earlier today, and she made it pretty clear that when the two of them finally come face to face in the octagon, she would like nothing better than to knock her out.
Tate is currently a coach on Fox Sports 1’s The Ultimate Fighter 18, alongside Rousey.
The two of them will not meet in the octagon until UFC 168 in December.
When she spoke to TMZ’s cameraman, she was pretty clear on her plan to defeat the current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion.
I’m just going to smash her,” Tate said. “I want her to wake up and see the ceiling in the headlights and me standing over her with the belt on already.”
While Tate is incredibly tough, this is going to be no easy task. Ronda Rousey is pretty tough herself, and quite the master of the arm bar.
You can see from this video that not only have the two of them been down this road before, but that arm bar is just straight up nasty.
However, you can never count Tate out; she is quite the beast herself. Don’t believe me? Take a look.
You see what I mean?
If nothing else, the war of words is already starting to heat up between the two. Tate told TMZ,
I would love nothing more than to break her jaw.”
Rousey and Tate will go face to face at UFC 168 on December 28th. Until then, you can watch their teams face off in The Ultimate Fighter.
The Ultimate Fighter 18 debuts tonight at 10 p.m. on Fox Sports 1.
