The Buffalo Sabres currently have two players who are hoping to stay with the organization.
Right now Cody Hodgson and the Sabres are in talks of a new contract. He appears to be confident that they’ll sign him to a new deal and he’ll remain a Sabre for a little while longer.
“I like it here and we’ll get something done. I don’t know how much it’s going to help if I comment on it now. I’m just going to let them do their thing. I’d rather just leave it up to them.” Cody Hodgson told The Buffalo News in an interview.
The Sabres will most likely pay up as he received top line minutes in 2013 with 34 points in 48 games. Now when it comes to teammate Thomas Vanek, he seems to be taking a different approach with the organization.
Right now he’s willing to wait and see what happens when it comes to his future with the team. The Buffalo News also reported that he hasn’t closed the door regarding a contract extension.
Thomas Vanek says he hasn’t closed door to contract extension with Sabres but wants to see how young guys perform before deciding future.
