The Sacramento Kings formally announced the hire of Chris Mullin, assigning him the title of Advisor to the Chairman.
“Chris Mullin is an incredible addition to our organization,” Kings owner and Chairman Vivek Ranadivé said in a statement on Kings.com. “I have great respect for his accomplishments and understanding of the game.”
The hiring of Mullin was a mere formality at this point. While Mullin was never introduced as a official employee, he’s worked with the Kings since they hired General Manager Pete D’Alessandro in mid-June.
“It isn’t everyday that a franchise has the opportunity to add an individual of Chris’ caliber and reputation,” said D’Alessandro.
