FanSided To Begin Launching Site Redesigns Across Its 240 Blogs With FanSided 4.0

Brooklyn, NY – FanSided released a new web design for its flagship site  FanSided.com in June, and now the sports, entertainment and lifestyle online media force is giving the same makeover to its 240 sports and entertainment blogs. 4.0 launched today on all of FanSided’s NFL sites and will be featured network-wide in the coming weeks.

“When we released FanSided 4.0 on FanSided.com, we hoped that the new look would enrich the FanSided experience for our readers but even we were surprised by the success the new layout enjoyed in its first month,” said FanSided VP of Content, Patrick Allen. “FanSided.com saw a 111% increase in page views in June and it was then that we knew 4.0 was assisting our readers in finding more of the great content FanSided.com and our network of blogs has to offer. Moving the 4.0 to our other sites quickly became a no-brainer.”

FanSided 4.0 features infinite scroll as well as a user-friendly, responsive interface that puts the focus on the content. Designed to be an immersive experience for the user, readers will no longer have to hit the back button on their browsers while visiting their favorite FanSided site. Once inside an article, the site’s front page regenerates at the bottom of the comments field, allowing the reader to seamlessly continue browsing the site’s rich content. 4.0 also features a sidebar that displays the latest headlines from FanSided’s army of sports and entertainment team blogs. These sites, each with it’s own dedicated editor and staff, provides fans with the kind of opinionated, passionate, non-stop coverage they can’t get from larger mainstream media outlets.

“We’re excited to move 4.0 to the rest of our properties,” said FanSided CEO Adam Best. The layout allows a Chiefs fan to visit Arrowhead Addict to get the latest news on the team and while they’re reading, also spot the latest headlines of interest on the Royals from Kings of Kauffman. No more bookmarking sites or typing multiple urls into your browser. The FanSided reader only needs to come to one of our sites and 4.0 will organically guide them to other, related content.”
