After his playing days ended, Hakeem Olajuwon decided he’d be a mentor. He’s worked with and trained (if you will) countless NBA players over the past few years, but recently suggested he’d like to add two more to his resume – Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Blake Griffin of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Why Durant and Griffin out of the blue? Because their post game is crap – well – that’s what Olajuwon thinks, just in a much more nice way:
Question: Name a player that you haven’t worked with that you’d like to work with?
Answer: I don’t know if I would like to, but a player that needs – Blake Griffin. You look at Blake, he’s very explosive. But he needs the move that gets him to the position to finish. That’s why you see in the playoffs, baskets become limited.
Olajuwon also brings up Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder as somebody who needs his help, namely because his post game lacks so far behind the rest of his talents.
The Dream – trying to fix every player in the NBA, one offseason at a time.
