Oregon Ducks will wear football cleats that change color (video)

Often imitated, never duplicated – that might be the motto the University of Oregon wants to use when it comes to their uniforms.

The unanimous leader when it comes to uniform innovation, Oregon has done it again, this time with color changing cleats.

Oregon wide receiver BJ Kelley recently posted his new Nike Alpha Pro TD’s on his Instagram page, which feature an iridescent bottom that will change color as the player runs.

The cleats have a green and yellow base, but like a soap bubble, will reflect in the light which is pretty damn cool.

There’s no mention yet if the cleats will be worn with the standard uniform or if Oregon will have a specific uniform to wear with the Alpha Pro TD’s, though knowing Oregon, they’ll probably have seven different variations to wear.

As for the actual top half of the shoe – it’s shockingly standard, especially in the case of Oregon. Though, I’m guessing they wanted the emphasis to be on the bottom of the shoe – not the top.
