Outside of maybe Alabama’s crimson, there probably isn’t a more well known color in college sports than that of UNC’s Carolina blue.

The color has been made even more famous thanks to alum Michael Jordan, who’s Nike line features the color in the vast majority of apparel.

Despite the popularity of the color though, the Tar Heels haven’t worn anything overpowering in the color since 2003. Sure, they have a Carolina blue jersey or Carolina blue pants, but wearing them both at the same time? Not done in over a decade – until tomorrow, that is.

For the first time in ten years, the Tar Heels will bust out their all-blue Carolina uniforms as they take on Middle Tennessee State tomorrow afternoon. They’ll also have a new endzone look as well.

I’m a bit partial to the color, so I have to say it looks pretty snazzy. Nothing against the all-black look so many teams are wearing this season, but the all Carlina blue (even the helmet) looks pretty solid and is my personal favorite of all the ‘new’ looks this year.
