Darrelle Revis cleared to start vs. Jets

Darrelle Revis missed last season with a torn ACL, but he will be back in action for Sunday’s season-opener against his former team, the New York Jets. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had expected Revis would be available for their first game of the 2013-14 NFL season and today it was made official that he would be on the field.

Not that it's a surprise, but Bucs CB Darrelle Revis will play Sunday against former Jets team, less than 1 year since he tore ACL.

Expect Revis to look to make a huge impact in his first game as a member of the Buccaneers, especially with the added fire that comes from playing against his former team.

Emotions will be high, the action will be aplenty and we are in for a treat when the Jets and Buccaneers take the field to begin the seasons.
