Florida Gators wide receiver Trey Burton was heading to the side line while Miami Hurricanes defensive back Antonio Crawford was running to meet him there. Burton did his best Reggie Bush impressing stopping and going back inside.
Oncoming Hurricane defenders forced him to head back to the sideline where Crawford was recovering and trying to redeem himself with a tackle going for his legs. Instead Burton, juked him going back outside as Crawford went to the ground arms extended to tackle a player who wasn’t there anymore.
It is a pretty impressive move, check it out:
[h/t] Bleacher Report for the find
Certainly this play will end up on ESPN’s SportsCenter and FOX Sports 1′s “the other SportsCenter, that is not SportsCenter.” When I watch this play all I can hear is Chris Berman’s whoop and imagining what it’d be like back to back like this while covering this highlight.
Needless to say, Crawford’s ankles are in tact, his chest is ok after landing on it tackling an invisible player.
