Kansas State coach congratulates opposing QB in letter

Kansas State Wildcats coach Bill Snyder may not have his best football team this year, but he still has class. That was demonstrated when he wrote a handwritten letter to North Dakota State University’s quarterback Brock Jenson after Jenson led his team to victory over Kansas State in their game last weekend.

The game was close to be sure as the final score of 24-21 indicated, and the play of the FCS quarterback did not escape the eye of the veteran coach.

Jenson stats were not eye-popping but he did throw for 2 touchdowns and only 1 interception completing 21 of 30 passes. Anyone who follows the Football Championship Subdivision is well aware of NDSU’s talent as they won the FCS championship last year. They obviously have championship aspirations this year as well.

It is refreshing to see sportsmanship being represented in college football. That handwritten note is something that Jenson will be able to keep and always remind him of a day in which he played “virtually error free”.

You know, north Dakota should have the best football team in the world…guy to girl ratio is 8 to 1…what else is there to do?

That is really what it should be like. I am impressed.
