A few weeks back, Shabazz Muhammad was kicked out of the NBA’s rookie orientation for having a woman in his hotel room.
Muhammad was told repeatedly by NBA staff members to not bring a girl to his room, but apparently entitled or just dumb, he decided to do so anyway.
He was kicked out and now feeling bad, Muhammad has penned an apologetic letter to Minnesota Timberwolves president Flip Saunders.
Per ESPN 1500:
After being dismissed from rookie orientation for having a girl in his room, Wolves wing Shabazz Muhammad wrote an apologetic letter to Saunders and Taylor. Soon thereafter, Taylor sent Muhammad a letter back. “I want to get to know him,” Taylor said. “I wrote to him about first impressions.”
Man, if only having to write a letter would have gotten me out of trouble as a kid, I’d have had enough practice to become a world scholar.
I wonder what J.R. Smith is going to do for the New York Knicks. Maybe send them a gift basket? Edible arrangements are all the rage I hear.
