So, we already talked about how Braxton Miller went down with that serious injury. Welp, Kenny Guiton came in and held the line. Right after he came in, his team scored. They kept it up as they won 42-7.
Take it away, ESPN:
Kenny Guiton took over when Braxton Miller left with a sprained left knee, running for one touchdown and passing for two on Saturday while leading No. 3 Ohio State to a 42-7 victory over San Diego State.
Guiton, who helped save Ohio State’s 12-0 season a year ago, had the most playing time he’s ever had in a game. He set career bests with 19 of 28 passing for 152 yards and 83 rushing yards.
Good for him. You gotta love it when the bench steps up in these times. That’s how you know you’ve got a deep team. As a backup, you gotta make the most of little opportunities you may have. Good for Guiton.
