Obviously things were not going well for the Gamecocks as they would fall to the Georgia Bulldogs 41-30 on the afternoon. The bizarre thing about this confrontation is that South Carolina had just forced a 3 and out so whatever they had decided apparently had just worked.
I am sure that a sideline in a hostile environment between two highly ranked teams can get pretty intense. It doesn’t shock me that something like this happened but this raises the question that if the coaches are having this much trouble getting on the same page, what can you expect from the players on the field?
I don’t know if this helped to contribute South Carolina’s loss on the afternoon but I am sure that the Gamecocks were not anticipating that Aaron Murray would shred their defense like he did all afternoon.
I would have been more interested to see them let the coaches go ahead and finish the fight, whomever wins gets to call the plays for the rest of the game. That would have been a fine way to settle the dispute.
