New AP Poll Sees Texas and USC Fall from Top 25

The new AP College Football Rankings just arrived and both the Texas Longhorns and USC Trojans fell out of the rankings after big losses. The Longhorns fell to the BYU Cougars while the Trojans fell to Washington State Cougars.

Other Top 25 teams suffering big losses yesterday didn’t fall quite as hard, as the Florida Gators loss came to the Miami Hurricanes, who made their first AP Poll appearance since 2010 at 15th.

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish fell to ranked Michigan Wolverines while the Georgia Bulldogs avenged last week’s loss with a big win over the South Carolina Game Cocks.

The Top 5 of the AP College Football Rankings had another slight chance, as the Ohio State Buckeyes dropped one spot for the second week in a row, despite still winning games. The Alabama Crimson Tide remained in first, followed by the Oregon Ducks, Clemson Tigers, Ohio State Buckeyes and Stanford Cardinal.
