One guy who won’t get the chance to make a big impact however is second-round pick Margus Hunt.

The SMU product headlines the list of inactives for the Bengals as they prepare to take on the Chicago Bears in Soldier Field.

That list also includes wide receivers Dane Sanzenbacher and Robert Whalen.

As for Hunt, the rookie has had an up-and-down camp where he shows flashes of brilliance at some moments and looks completely lost at other times.

However he is still a talented youngster and to have a second-round pick inactive for the season opener says a lot about where the Bengals think Hunt is at right now after training camp.

He has the ability to make plays rushing the passer and given Bear’s quarterback Jay Cutler’s tendency to make mistakes when under pressure, you would think that Hunt would have been a valuable part of the rotation rushing the quarterback, but that won’t be the case on Sunday.
