Cleveland Browns expected to be without Ahtyba Rubin

The Cleveland Browns got some bad news on Sunday morning in advance of their season-opener against the Miami Dolphins. Starting defensive end Ahtyba Rubin, who was listed as questionable on the official injury report for the game, is not expected to take the field according to multiple reports.

Rubin has been dealing with a calf injury and could have feasted against a questionable Miami Dolphins offensive line, but he will have to watch the start of the season from the sidelines.

With Rubin out of action, Billy Winn and John Hughes are expected to step up in his place opposite Desmond Bryant.

It is not an ideal situation for the Browns, but they should be able to make due and find a way to pull out the win.

The good news for Miami and fantasy football owners, however, is that Lamar Miller can now expect to see a boost in his stats with Rubin out of the line up on Sunday afternoon.

Stayed tuned to throughout the day for all of the latest news on the first Sunday of the 2013-14 NFL season.
