The Cleveland Browns host the Miami Dolphins this Sunday in the season opener, and the Browns owner Jimmy Haslam has one thing he wants from the fans.

“I think there’s two keys,” Haslam said. “One, we’ve got to play well, and two, we need huge noise. We’re expecting 72,000 tomorrow. It’ll be a record crowd, and we’re going to have a lot of noise because we’re going to win tomorrow. That’s really important.”

Jimmy Haslam went on to praise the fans and promised to help them win because they owe it to the fans.

“The support that you give, all the Cleveland Browns’ fans, especially the Browns Backers, is phenomenal,” Haslam said. “We feel a tremendous responsibility to pay you back for that support by bringing you a winner. We’re working nonstop to do that. We’re going to be better. We’re going to be better the next year, and we’re going to be better the year after that.

“We’re doing this the right way. We’re building a team that will be consistently good for a long period of time. We’re going to start tomorrow with a big win, and we’re going to start with great support from you all.”

Haslam added, “I’ll always be a Cleveland Brown.”

“You guys have driven the concept of what fans are supposed to be about,” Brown said. “Cleveland Browns fans are known all over the world, and they’re known because you’re loyal. You support your team.”
