The New York Jets are a mess at the quarterback position, and they’ll be starting second-round pick Geno SMith today after MArk Sanchez suffered a serious shoulder injury during the preseason. IT was the third game against the New York Giants, in which Sanchez was put into the game in the fourth-quarter, and he was hit while making a throw by a Giants defender.

As he was making the throw, he was hit and landed awkwardly on his shoulder, and after int was called a minor injury by the Jets, it appears as though it is much more significant

Expect to see Geno start for most of the season if that’s the case. This may mean the Jets have finally seen the last of Sanchez throwing passes for them, which will be a blessing for them, especially if they are able to land Teddy Bridgewater in next May’s NFL Draft.
