Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin is spending Monday night tailgating outside FedEx Field in Landover, Maryland before tonight’s Monday Night Football matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins.

I always think its great to see athletes and teams support one another. It reminds me of seeing Dallas Mavericks superstar Dirk Nowitzki attend Texas Rangers games in a customized jersey.

Ovechkin didn’t opt for a custom jersey like Dirk’s, instead he opted for a Robert Griffin III jersey supporting the team’s leader and super star quarterback. He appears to be trying to be relatively incognito equipped with a baseball hat and sunglasses. The only thing missing is the fake mustache.

But wait? Isn’t today his anniversary and he is alone at a Redskins game?
