Just a few days ago, Chicago Bulls general manager Gar Forman suggested that point guard Derrick Rose would be ready for the start of training camp.
That wasn’t really shocking, but considering everything that we’ve went through with the Rose injury, until there’s solid confirmation, you’re not really sure what to believe.
What we can believe though is that Rose looks more than ready to play.
The former MVP was in Japan recently on a promotional tour and when he got a basketball in his hands, he couldn’t help but try to work in a small game of one on one.
I’m not exactly sure who Rose is playing against here – he downed a handful of opponents which included pro Japanese players and a samurai, but whomever it was, they got shook out their shoes.
Rose looked every part the player we remember, dribbling his opponent into oblivion during the short clip.
Of course, how explosive he’ll be and how well his knee will hold up over the course of an 82 game season remains to be seen, but Rose looks nothing short of fantastic right now.
