ESPN: Growing concern over Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Josh Freeman

Most Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans are growing tired of quarterback Josh Freeman.

That includes NFC South blogger for ESPN Pat Yasinskas who expressed concern over Freeman and his future with the Bucs:

Freeman’s future: We’re not yet to the point at which the Bucs have a full-fledged quarterback controversy, but let’s be totally honest: Josh Freeman did not look good Sunday. When he didn’t look good in the preseason, it was easy to shrug off, but this was the real deal, and it’s time to start getting concerned. Freeman completed 15 of 31 passes for 210 yards with a touchdown and an interception in a game in which the offense never got into anything close to a rhythm. Undoubtedly, some fans will already be calling for rookie Mike Glennon. I still think Freeman is Tampa Bay’s best option to win, but my opinion on that could change with a few more performances like this on

Freeman, despite somewhat acceptable stats, has looked terrible in the field. His decision making has been poor and he’s been the main culprit in underwhelming performances.

It may be just a matter of time until there is a controversy on the Bucs’ hands.
