Indianapolis Colts’ tight end Dwayne Allen says hip injury is fine
By Bryan Rose
If you were like me, you expected some big things from Indianapolis Colts tight end Dwayne Allen in your fantasy football lineup yesterday.
And while you did get a touchdown, outside of that, you were left with a dud – though it wasn’t through the fault of Allen, who left with a hip injury.
There was initial concern that Allen had re-aggravated a toe injury with hampered him throughout training camp and the preseason, but that was later proven to be incorrect and the injury was related to the hip. In the most odd of ways, I guess that was good news.
Thankfully though, Allen himself says the injury isn’t bad and he expects to play come Week Two:
"TE Dwayne Allen did not return after suffering a hip injury while diving for a pass in the third quarter, but said after the game he was fine."
Sounds like you’re safe to get Allen back in your fantasy lineup and Colts quarterback Andrew Luck will get one of his primary targets back in action.
