The Jacksonville Jaguars announced on Twitter Monday that starting quarterback Blaine Gabbert will miss the Jaguars’ Week 2 matchup against the Oakland Raiders.

Gabbert, a third year player from Missouri, had a dismal showing in the Jaguars’ 26-2 loss to Kansas City in Week 1 when he finished with just 121 yards on 16 of 35 passes with two interceptions. Gabbert said he injured his hand late in the contest and needed 15 stitches on his throwing hand.

With Gabbert out, the team will likely turn to veteran Chad Henne to run the show against the Raiders.
