Detroit Lions running back Joique Bell was pretty solid behind starter Reggie Bush. Bell had a pretty solid day for a back up, he had 5 catches for 67 yards and 25 yards on the ground with two touchdowns. One of those touchdowns came after a Reggie Bush touchdown was called back.
For one of those touchdowns he jumped on the wall and celebrated by waving his hands from side to side as the crowd followed along.
“Reggie, he’s a great teammate,” Bell said, via the Detroit Free Press. “He’s a force to be reckoned with when he’s out there on the field even if he’s getting the ball or being a decoy.”
Before the season started he was already earning head coach Jim Schwartz’s praise.
“He’s strong and he’s got very good balance,” coach Jim Schwartz said. “He’s very hard to bring down. He’s not the fastest guy in the world, but he’s certainly not slow.
“He’s done a nice job, both in the pass game and the run game, and I thought we saw that from him last year, too. It’s just a continuation of what we saw last year.”
Bell didn’t let his coach down.
