Robert Griffin III says he felt like Will Smith in ‘Hitch’
By Josh Sanchez
Leading up to Robert Griffin III’s return to the football field on Monday Night Football, the Washington Redskins quarterback has been receiving many questions about his reconstructed right knee and how he feels.
When Griffin was being interviewed on the sideline by ESPN, he pulled out an obscure movie reference to describe how he was feeling.
“You know, I feel like Will Smith in Hitch right now. In that one line where he’s trying to tell Eva Mendez how he feels,” Griffin said. “And that’s what I feel like I got inside me right now. I don’t know what the words to say are but I know I’m ready to go play and play with my guys.”
For those of you who have no idea what Hitch is, here is the line that Griffin was referring to:
Griffin was optimistic about his return ever since injuring his knee at the end of last season, so it is no surprise that he is using “it’s not that serious” as the way to describe his injury and all of the non-stop questions.
The real story here is that Griffin actually admitted that he watched Hitch.
