The New York football Giants didn’t come away from their trip to Arlington, Texas against the NFC East rival Dallas Cowboys with a win, but star wide receiver Victor Cruz did have an incredible performance and showed why the team opened up their checkbook and paid him the big money.

Cruz finished the Sunday Night Football match up with five catches for 118 yards.

The impressive part of his performance was that three of his five catches went for touchdowns.

For those keeping score at home, Cruz was dancing to the tune of 29 points in standard scoring ESPN Fantasy Football leagues. That is a big boost that likely paid huge dividends for those that had him in their starting line up.

Unfortunately for the Giants, they were unable to do enough to get the win and ended up dropping the season-opener to the Cowboys by a score of 36-31.

If it wasn’t for the offense’s six turnovers on the night, the result could have been much different.
