The Philadelphia Eagles will be looking to contain the explosive Washington Redskins offense tonight, led by a healthy Robert Griffin III, who’s made a miraculous recovery from a torn ACL he suffered just 8 months ago. But they’ll be hoping to contain him without a pass-rusher who they were expecting big things from in his second year, as defensive end Vinny Curry was among several Eagles ruled inactive tonight:
Vinny Curry is one of the Eagles’ six inactives for Monday’s game against the Washington Redskins. Curry, an Eagles defensive end, joins quarterback Matt Barkley, cornerback Shaun Prater, offensive lineman Matt Tobin, offensive lineman Dennis Kelly, and tight end Emil Igwenagu as players who will not dress.
Fletcher Cox, Cedric Thornton, Clifton Geathers and Damion Square will be the defensive ends up for the Eagles. They’ll be critical in containing RGIII and the Redskins read-option attack. The Eagles have only six inactives tonight because they only have 52 players on the roster.
