The highlight of the college football schedule for this weekend will take place at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS, when the Alabama Crimson Tide head to College Station to take on the Texas A&M Aggies and controversial quarterback Johnny Manziel.
Everyone has their own opinion about Manziel and his immaturity that has consistently been on display, but there is one bar in Alabama that has decided to show their dislike for Manziel in a unique way.
Otey’s Tavern, which is just outside of Birmingham, Alabama, has unveiled their “Johnny Pinata” which will allow fans to take a swing at Manziel during a Wednesday trivia night. The pub unveiled a photo of the pinata on their Facebook page:
In a funny, but not entirely surprising twist, the pinata makers decided to add a Sharpie in one of Manziel’s hands and a wad of cash in the other.
It’s a nice crack at humor and a way to get people excited for the upcoming grudge match, but in the end all that matters is what goes down on the field. Hopefully for the Alabama defense, they can use this as inspiration and smack Manziel around like a pinata throughout the afternoon as they try to avenge their 2012 loss.
