New York Giants running back David Wilson had a terrible performance in the season-opener against the Dallas Cowboys thanks to his continued fumbling issues, which caused him to receive plenty of criticism from the talking heads in the media and from the fantasy football owners who were hoping he would come through in a big way during Week One.

Unfortunately for those fans, Wilson just doesn’t care.

The Giants running back went out on Twitter to take care of his critics with a message that was short, sweet and to the point.

“Ayy to fantasy participants and pissed Giants fans ur irrelevant to me!!!” Wilson wrote on Twitter.  “Nobody wants me to succeed more than ME!!!  WATCH US WORK!”

Well, it’s good to see Wilson standing up for himself, but perhaps his team should notch a win before the “Watch us work” comments start to get thrown around.

The work the Giants did in Week One consisted of six turnovers and their first loss in Arlington. That’s not exactly the work they were looking for to start the season.
