I think everyone in the college football world can all band together in agreement when we say that the USC Trojans football program is not exactly in the greatest of places at the moment. Following their recent home loss to the Washington State Cougars, the cries for the firing of embattled head coach Lane Kiffin have been as loud as they ever were before.
One of the more disappointing aspects of the current state of this program is the fact that they are in possession of one of the best wide receivers in the nation, Marqise Lee. However, so far this season, they haven’t exploited that luxury one iota. Through the first two weeks, the preseason Heisman hopeful has just 15 catches for 131 yards.
Well recently, the receiver shed light on the fact that, following Saturday evening’s happenings, the players held a private meeting among themselves to address some of the issues they’ve been facing so far.
When asked about said meeting, Kiffin denied that such a thing ever happened.
Lee, however, made sure to remind everyone that the meeting was “players only”:
Marqise Lee said Lane Kiffin incorrect about players only meeting not happening. “Kiffin don’t know,” Lee said #USC

As if this program needed more evidence of their inconsistencies, this should put the icing on the cake as to where Kiffin stands as far as having control over everything.
