Barkevious Mingo cleared to practice; ready for Browns Week 2 match up

Barkevious Mingo has been out of action since suffering bruised lungs early in the preseason, but the Cleveland Browns first-round pick has been medically cleared to return to the field and he is ready for the team’s upcoming match up against the division rival Baltimore Ravens.

Last week, Mingo expressed his desire to return to the field.

“I want to be out there with the team,” Mingo said, via CBS Sports. “I want to be out there in my first game. But look on the bright side, I’m doing better and I’m just getting ready to come back whenever they let me come back.

“I’m coming back whenever they let me. We’ll see what they say whenever they say it. The coaches, the doctors, whenever they tell me I can go out, then I’ll go back.”

It looks like that time could be now.

With Mingo back in the line up, the Cleveland Browns already impressive front seven gets a pass rushing boost and a freak athlete that will be able to chase players down all over the field from any angle.

Cleveland may have sputtered in Week One, but they will come out guns blazing in Week Two trying to take down Flacco and company.
